Norwegian Metal: Snowboard Star Stale Sandbech Claims Overall TTR World Snowboard Tour Title, Video Edits Drop
The Scandinavians already knew Stale Sandbech as the ‘heir apparent’ to Norwegian Snowboard Royalty.
But few actually thought he’d claim the coveted TTR World Snowboard Tour Title so soon – and at such a young age. Including Stale, himself.
“I wasn’t really going for it at the start of the season, but then I was leading and thought ‘wow’, maybe I can actually do this!” he said, rocking his Oakley eyewear, apparel and gear. “Now at the end, it was exciting ’cause I didn’t qualify for today – But it is really cool to be part of that legendary list of riders who won it before.”
The easygoing ripper is known just as much for having as much fun as anyone – just riding on the tour. But despite his super friendly, typically Norwegian demeanor, Stale’s riding did the fierce talking for itself.
Registering 14 TTR points throughout the season through action in slopestyle, halfpipe and big air, solid podium spots at the Burton New Zealand Open and Big Air at Oakley & Shaun White Air + Style Beijing sealed the deal.
Peep some amazing edits of Stale – one on his TTR Victory and the other of him shredding street and more near his hometown of Oslo, Norway.
