    Last night, Oakley’s Simon Dumont beat out three of the world’s best – PK Hunder and Oakley teammates Jon Olsson and Jacob Wester – to take home the gold in the winner-take-all big air. Pitting two riders head-to-head, each with two jumps, the crowd would then vote on who would move on to the finals, where the same head-to-head, two jump, text-message format would determine the winner.

    In the finals, the weather cleared and the sun managed to peak out for a bit of practice and a couple runs. Sammy Carlson’s 2nd place run – also his first of the finals – brought back the switch 1080 poke, rail switch ups and a big spin off the canon box

    No matter how much the world of event organizers says “yes” to it, Mother Nature doesn’t want to stop saying “no.” Today’s Women’s slope took place under gray skies, well, in gray skies, to be more exact. A thick fog ruined visibility throughout the event, and a heavy mix of rain and snow slowed made clearing the tabletops in the course very difficult for all of the field, impossible for some.
