Marc Marquez is living proof that smiles definitely kill. The young phenom’s beaming expressions were a mere layer above the natural killer instincts that just carried him to ultimate MotoGP glory, being crowned as the youngest-ever World Champion after a solid result (third) on his home turf at the season finale in Valencia (Spain). A much-anticipated battle for the Championship with rival and title contender (and fellow Spaniard) Jorge Lorenzo culminated what has been a truly magical, albeit dramatic rookie season. “I feel… I cannot explain what I feel,” said the 20-year-old prodigy, who has already smashed multiple records this season including youngest ever Premier Class race winner, youngest pole-sitter, first rookie Champion since 1978 and more. "It is a dream come true – maybe too early because I did not expect to fight for the championship this year.”

Illustrated by up and coming driver Darrel Wallace Jr. and his massive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory this past weekend at Martinsville, the landscape is undergoing a modernization of sorts – as the field of competitors becomes more and more diverse and the NASCAR organization aims to spread appeal of America’s first ‘action sport’ to all sorts of people that love engines, racing and drama.

It’s been a weekend of resurgence for Oakley’s four-wheel motorsports team –and Jamie McMurray’s wide smile painted that picture perfectly at NASCAR’s mecca. Oakley’s star driver ended an extended victory drought with a smooth triumph at Talladega this past weekend, picking up his first ‘W’ since Oct. 2010. Smashing through an abnormally mellow speedway – devoid of its usual massive crashes, scrambling and head-to-head battles throughout – Jamie skated through the final 15 laps with no incident to spoil his return to victory lane.
