ATL Oakley Pro Am
August 9, 2010, on the hallowed grounds of the majestic TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, GA, 120 players descended to challenge the course, the elements and each other. The ATL Oakley Pro Am, series stop #2 on the path to the Skull Cup, tested the player’s skills and fortitude.
The late Georgia summer heat and humidity pushed the limits. A host of top notch sponsors kept the field well watered throughout the day. “Oakley pulled out all the stops from on course branding, O Lab tours and team support,” said Mark Szanti, Traditional Sports Rep for Georgia & South Carolina. From 80 ft. Icon’s painted on the fairways to branding flags and signage on every hole, Oakley took over the course.
PGA professional Craig Stevens, hailing from Steel Canyon Golf Club in Sandy Springs, GA, rose to the top of his game and to the top of the leader-board firing a winning score of 68. With the win, Craig etched his name on the Inaugural ATL Oakley Pro Am Championship belt and in to the second spot of the Skull Cup roster.
Thanks to the sponsors, TPC Sugarloaf, and all those who helped make the event a success.
