It’s been a long time coming for Bubba Watson. Sunday he broke a nearly two year winless streak by winning the 2014 Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club in the Los Angeles area. Watson shot 64-64 on the final two days of the tournament to secure his first victory in 41 tries since his last win. With his wife and son there to celebrate, Watson dazzled the crowd with flawless golf to close a four shot gap going into the final day and ultimately ending up on top.
One thing is for sure: consistency is the name of the game for Zach Johnson. Even when paired up with long driving, risk-taking Dustin Johnson on the final day of the first big PGA tournament of 2014, Zach played a smooth, consistent, safe form of golf, ultimately leading him to another exciting win; this time at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua in Hawaii.

While Woods looked to have the edge throughout the weekend, Johnson never let the lead get out of sight. In a comeback for the ages, Johnson slowly clawed his way back to top Woods in a sudden-death-playoff at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. It was his road to the playoff that was utterly remarkable.
