A Casa! Dany Torres Triumphs on Home Turf at Red Bull X-Fighters Madrid

Dany & spanish fans

Dany Torres must love those Tapas.

Oakley’s Spanish FMX star took advantage of that home cooking to emerge victorious at Red Bull X-Fighters Madrid in late July, racking up a perfect five-out-of-five vote before 25,000 raucous home fans in the country’s largest bullfighting arena, Plaza de Toros.

“It’s the best day of my life,” Dany said, rocking his Oakley motocross goggles.

The talented Spaniard threw down a variation of a super can Indian air flip, Hart Attack Indian air flip, and a dead body flip – as well a surprise secret trick that proved enough to seal the deal: A McMetz to cliffhanger.

Despite the lack of a flip, his sick new maneuver was enough to claim the Swatch Best Move award and the glorious victory in an absolutely electric atmosphere.

The win was his second in the famed, iconic building.

Fellow Oakley ripper Blake “Bilko” Williams of Australia claimed the runner-up finish, while Dany racked up 100 points in the overall X-Fighters standings (245 point total, third place overall).

There’s no doubt about it. Spain’s capital went off with the local boy sending the hordes of partisan fans into a frenzy.

Congratulations Dany!
