Kevin Peter Pietersen is one of the most significant cricketers of our time. He was born in South Africa on June 27, 1980 and moved to England when he was 19-year old. Kevin was immediately called up to England’s squad after serving his qualifying period.

Kevin got an explosive start to his ODI career in South Africa. From 2004-2005 he saw his average peak at 234 and was consequently awarded the Player of the Series Award.

His unique batting style has produced hundreds of runs and many outstanding innings culminating in his extraordinary triumph in helping to secure England’s first Ashes win after an 18 year drought. For his part he had 158 on the final day of the Oval Test Match in 2005. Kevin has been on an Ashes winning team on a two additional occasions.

Kevin is also one of the fastest English batsman ever to reach 4000 test runs. His switch hit first used to hit Murali for 6 at Edgbaston makes Kevin one of the most exciting players to watch in the world of cricket.

A prodigious talent – fearless, bold and with unflappable nerves Kevin has oftern been described by the media as “the David Beckham of cricket.” Yet with the highs, come the lows and Kevin has maintained the ability to draw parallels between these and succeed.
