BIOGRAPHY

Derek Ernst is a professional golfer who joined the PGA Tour following a successful four year golf career at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. At the age of 22, Ernst won his first PGA tournament when he beat David Lynn in a one hole playoff at Quail Hollow, to be crowned the 2013 Wells Fargo Championship winner.

Ernst grew up in Woodland, California. One widely known story surrounding his childhood is a freak accident that left one eye slightly cloudy and his depth perception poor. That didn’t stop Ernst from pursuing a career in golf. He went on to play in college and was twice named the Mountain West Conference player of the year.

With his win at Quail Hollow, Ernst received a two-year exemption and will be seen playing in some of the world’s most prestigious PGA Tour tournaments for what looks to be a long time to come.
